Our MICOR *NIR infrared systems can also be used in ATEX zones and are therefore ideal for the efficient and safe drying and heating of solvent-based printing inks, primers, coatings and adhesives.
During the production of paper and film packaging, as well as wallpaper and furniture decors on flexographic and gravure printing machines or in coating and laminating systems, solvent vapors are generated. These vapors place significant demands on both the technical equipment and the organizational processes. Particularly, when drying solvent-based printing inks, varnishes, and adhesives, strict safety regulations for potentially explosive atmospheres must be followed. Continuous monitoring of solvent concentrations is therefore crucial to ensure safety.
With our specially developed MICOR Ex concept, our infrared emitters can be safely used in ATEX zones for drying and heating processes, ensuring full compliance with all relevant safety regulations.
How does the MICOR Ex concept work: Our MICOR infrared systems create their own Ex zone within the machine and can be used in circulation mode up to 25% LEL. With our simulation devices in Ex design, our infrared emitters can directly be applied for test purposes in your Ex zones as part of a live test. Thus their effectiveness can be observed immediately on the corresponding production system.
Our products are ATEX-certified and comply with EU directives.
Optimize your production with a customized live test of our infrared solutions directly at your facility - without interrupting operations. We offer our MICOR Live-Test on site at net cost price. Feel free to contact us for more information!
