Optimization of primer drying on a laminating and extrusion line

Problem: The production speed of the lamination and extrusion line is 170 m/min and needs to be increased without compromising product quality, such as shrinkage of the film or reduction in adhesion.

Result: The desired drying result was achieved by using a MICOR *NIR cassette in EX design with a total power of 42kW, even at 250 m/min (the maximum speed of the extrusion line), maintaining consistent adhesion.

Improve the efficiency of coating PE film with adhesive

Problem: The drying performance of the existing system for coating a PE film with adhesive was inadequate, limiting the production speed of the entire line. Additionally, the gas-fired hot air dryer caused high energy consumption, threatening the profitability of the coating line with rising energy costs.

Result: By adding infrared drying with a MICOR *NIR cassette, the production speed was increased from 80 m/min to nearly 110 m/min. In addition, the gas consumption of the hot air dryer was reduced by 20%.
